First by Van Cleef & Arpels is a floral aldehyde fragrance for women. This was the first fragrance to be released from the exclusive jewellery and watch brand Van Cleef & Arpels. Since the launch of First in 1976 several editions of the timeless elegant scent has been released.

The scent begins with notes of aldehydes, bergamot and black currant mixed with sweet peach and raspberry before it reaches the floral heart with notes of hyacinth, jasmine and ylang ylang being the most noticeable. The base is warm and rich, featuring amber, sandalwood, vanilla, tonkabean, musk and vetiver.

First is a timeless classic which remains very popular although it is over 40 years since it was first released.
